Good Friday exhibition reviewed in The Tablet
Jessica Murphy discussed MOCRA's Good Friday exhibition in the March 27, 2010, issue of the English weekly newspaper The Tablet. In her article, titled "Everyman, Every Cross," Ms. Murphy writes that "exhibition and space come together to make a 'museum retreat' entirely possible."

Good Friday exhibition featured in America magazine
An article by MOCRA Director Terrence Dempsey, S.J., appeared in the March 1, 2010, issue of America, a national weekly magazine. In the article Fr. Dempsey discusses the enduring power of the image of the suffering Christ and the impact the Good Friday exhibition has had on visitors.

"Speaking in whispers": a Houston Chronicle blog considers the art of James Rosen
Menachem Wecker, author of the blog "Iconia" (currently hosted on the Houston Chronicle website), interviews artist James Rosen and MOCRA Director Terrence Dempsey, S.J. for a post dated February 1, 2011. Rosen discusses his art historical inspirations and references, along with his distinctive technique of painting with "veils," while Dempsey gives insight into how Rosen's work came to be displayed at MOCRA.

Writing in the November 18 - 24, 2010, edition of the Riverfront Times, critic Jessica Baran discusses Rosen's passion for both art historical references and "the rarified art of the figure," and remarks on his distinctive oil and wax/oil emulsion technique that results in "a work that straddles abstraction and realism."
