MOCRA a pioneering "Reluctant Partner"
MOCRA is profiled in a recent book exploring the complex relationship between art and religion. Reluctant Partners: Art and Religion in Dialogue, edited by Ena Giurescu Heller (The Gallery at the American Bible Society, 2004) includes brief comments from MOCRA Director Terrence E. Dempsey, S.J., on the role that MOCRA plays in furthering the dialogue between contemporary art and religion.

MOCRA Director Terrence E. Dempsey, S.J., was quoted in a December 31, 2010,  New York Times article about artist Tobi Kahn and his interest in creating art that speaks to people at the end of life. Dempsey discusses the role of religious art at the end of life with religion reporter Samuel G. Freedman.

Addressing the Danish cartoon controversy
MOCRA Director Terrence E. Dempsey, S.J., was a guest on the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer on February 6, 2006. He joined Ingrid Mattson of the Hartford Seminary in Hartford, CT, and host Ray Suarez in a discussion about the controversy that erupted around the publication in a Danish newspaper of cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad.
