An Evening with Katherine Dunham

This living legend, from East St. Louis, Illinois, discusses the famous "Dunham Technique" and provides valuable insight into Alvin Ailey the man, and her influence on his career. Proceeds from this evening will benefit the Katherine Dunham Museum in East St. Louis.

Robert Powell, owner of Portfolio Gallery in St. Louis, discusses the role of blacks in the arts.

November 19, 1993: St. Alphonsus Rock Choir

Musicians and singers from St. Alphonsus Rock Church in St. Louis, under the direction of Malcolm Speed, present a spirit-filled evening of gospel music featuring songs from Alvin Ailey's Revelations.

November 26, 1993: Sister Harriet Williams and All My Children

Celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday weekend with an inspiring gospel concert.

December 3, 1993: The Katherine Dunham Junior Dance Company

Enjoy a sampling of the Dunham Technique the captured the heart and soul of Alvin Ailey.
