Continuing a remarkable interaction between contemporary art and dance first explored in 1968 by choreographer Merce Cunningham (1919-2009) with a piece called RainForest, several of St. Louis' finest dancers perform two evenings of improvisatory dances with and amidst Pop artist Andy Warhol's Silver Clouds. The dancers respond to the mutable, capricious personalities of the Clouds, as well as MOCRA's distinctive gallery space, as they dance these spontaneous pieces in the largest-ever U.S. installation of these buoyant silver mylar pillows. |
