SLU to Host Second Annual Dr. King Tribute

Almost 300 members of the SLU community and guests are expected to attend a luncheon program to honor the life and legacy of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Saint Louis University will host the second annual memorial tribute in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, in the Wool Ballroom located in the Busch Student Center. 

This luncheon program will feature D.C. Cooper's interpretation of "I Have A Dream" and keynote speaker, Xernona Clayton, civil rights leader and broadcasting executive. Additional guests include Rabbi Susan Talve; Michael Patrick McMillan, license collector for the City of St. Louis; E.G. Shields; Ken Fleischmann, J.D., vice president for Human Resources; and Don Highberger, S.J., special assistant for University Ministry.

Entertainment will be provided by drummer Sylvester "Sunshine" Lee and St. Alphonsus "Rock" Church Choir.
