Staff members at Bannister House raised nearly $90 for the Student Conservation Association through recycling with the Pepsi Dream Machine.

Between August 2011 and February 2012, Bannister House staff collected used containers and recycled them through the Dream Machine located in DeMattias Hall. By the end of that period, they had collected 4,500 Greenopolis reward points, which Pepsi matched and converted into cash.

The Student Conservation Association strives to protect and restore the nation's parks, marine sanctuaries, cultural landmarks and community green spaces. SCA's mission is to build the next generation of conservation leaders and inspire lifelong stewardship of the environment and communities by engaging young people in hands-on service to the land.

The Bannister House team plans to continue recycling with the Dream Machine, and hope to donate their points again to either the SCA or another charity.

Higher purpose. Greater good.
