Shelton was presented with his own SLU jersey prior to Friday's concert.

Blake Shelton, the two-time Country Music Association Male Vocalist of the Year and coach of the popular NBC TV series "The Voice" performed to a sold-out crowd of more than 7,300 at Chaifetz Arena Friday night. Shelton moved the crowd through his arsenal of hit songs, including "It's All About Tonight," "Hillbilly Bone" and "Honeybee," in what the St. Louis Examiner described as having "almost a private living-room concert feel."

Missouri-native David Nail was a surprise special guest and performed his current Billboard-topping "Let It Rain" during Shelton's set.

Shelton joins an impressive list of country music superstars who have performed at Chaifetz Arena in the last 13 months including his wife, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, the Band Perry and country music legend Reba McEntire.

As announced on Friday, rising country music star Eric Church will bring his "Blood, Sweat and Beer" tour to Chaifetz Arena Friday, April 20. A pre-sale opportunity will be made available to the SLU community on Thursday.

Also announced last week are The Black Keys on April 27, who are on the cover of this month's Rolling Stone. Tickets to all Chaifetz Arena events are available online at the Chaifetz Arena website.
