Chaifetz Concerts Named Best in St. Louis

The "St. Louis Post-Dispatch" included four concerts hosted by Chaifetz Arena on its list of "Top 10 Best Concerts in St. Louis."

Four concerts hosted by Saint Louis University's Chaifetz Arena were listed in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's 2013 "Top 10 Best Concerts in St. Louis."

The article recounted performances and packed houses at Chaifetz Arena from Nine Inch Nails (No. 3), Muse (No. 7), Kendrick Lamar (No. 9) and The Lumineers (No. 10). The full top 10 list of performances can be found online.

"We're thrilled to have hosted such astounding performances in 2013 at Chaifetz Arena," said Jim Wynkoop with Global Spectrum and general manager of the arena. "These concerts have created memories that will last a lifetime for our patrons. We look forward to building on the successes from 2013 in the coming year."

The diverse performances kicked off with global sensation, Muse. The English rock band lit up the stage as more than 8,000 screaming fans enjoyed the incredible performance on March 8.

Kendrick Lamar, one of the hottest up-and-coming hip-hop stars in the industry, performed with Steve Aoki on April 17. Lamar has been nominated for seven Grammys for his work in 2013.

Nine Inch Nails, the highest ranked show from the Post-Dispatch's list, brought their critically-acclaimed Tension 2013 tour to Saint Louis University's campus on Oct. 1. The intense rock show kicked off a record setting eight-week concert schedule at Chaifetz Arena.

Folk rock band The Lumineers performed at Chaifetz Arena on Oct. 4 in a concert co-sponsored by the SLU Student Activities Board. The Lumineers' first single "Ho Hey" reached No. 1 on the Alternative and Hot AC charts and has been streamed more than 100 million times on Spotify.

The star-studded concert lineup at Chaifetz Arena will continue into 2014 with Lady Antebellum performing on Thursday, Feb. 13; Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Anthony Hamilton and Joe performing on Friday, Feb. 14; the St. Louis Blues Festival taking place Saturday, March 8; Demi Lovato performing Thursday, March 20; and Justin Moore performing Thursday, March 27.
