Facilities Services' new sustainability web page offers the tips for sustainable living and news about the University's efforts to create a more environmentally friendly campus.

Facilities Services has created a new, comprehensive "Sustainability" web page to promote its initiatives and activities. Facilities has made many strides in the area of sustainability; however given the nature of the work, the effort risks going unnoticed. The Saint Louis University community is invited to visit the site and learn more about the steps taken to create a more sustainable campus environment.

Also Facilities Services understands that while making progress, there is always room for improvement, so they encourage everyone to join in. "Sustainability Initiative Teams" are being developed to bring the campus community together to discuss topics such as recycling, energy usage, transportation, awareness and educational opportunities. Anyone interested in becoming a part of the sustainability efforts is invited to visit the Facilities' sustainability page and submit an interest form.

Finally, the nationwide RecycleMania 2012 tournament will continue until March 31 and all are asked to participate. Utilize the single-stream recycling on campus to help ensure SLU's recognized as a leader in recycling and waste reduction. More information is available on the new "RecycleMania" web page, hosted by Facilities Services, with weekly results on SLU's progress.

Higher purpose. Greater good.
