Graduate Medical Education Poster Competition Announces Winners

The 6th Annual Graduate Medical Education Poster Competition was held in the Learning Resources Center Tuesday, April 10. The competition was open to all current residents and fellows. Five posters were chosen for awards based on their presentations and research design.
First place was awarded to Prerna Rastogi, M.D.(pathology), who presented "Cigarette Smoke Increases Breast Cancer Cell Adherence to Lung Endothelium."
Second place was awarded to Tricia Missall, M.D., Ph.D. (dermatology), who presented "Phenotypic Characterization of the Tumor Microenvironment During Imiquimod Treatment of Melanoma In Situ, Lentiginous Type."
Third place was awarded to Sofia Chaudhry, M.D. (dermatology), who presented "Pediatric Access to Dermatologists: Medicaid versus Private Insurance"; Zaher Fanari, M.D. (cardiology), who presented "Evaluation of the Safety of Beta Blockers in the Acute Management of Cocaine-Associated Chest Pain"; and Mohamed Shousha, M.D. (ophthalmology) "A Novel Non-Contact Technique to Diagnose Ocular Surface Lesions."
