The men's basketball team will take on New Mexico State in the Midwest regionals of the NCAA Tournament at 1:10 p.m. Thursday, March 21.
Schedule permitting and with prior approval from direct supervisors, Saint Louis University faculty and staff are invited to an official watch party at Chaifetz Arena, where the game will be shown on the arena's 45-by-14-foot screens.
Doors open at noon for the free event. For those looking to grab lunch, concession stands in the arena will be open, selling burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, fries and sodas. Alcohol will not be available.
Attendees can enter the arena from gates A and B. For those who cannot walk to the facility, free parking will be available in the Fred Weber Lot (limited spaces available) and the Olive/Compton Garage.
All members of the SLU community, including those attending the game-watch event, are encouraged to wear SLU blue on Thursday (like the annual Biliken "Blue Out" game).
Also, as a reminder, faculty and staff are invited to wear SLU blue and blue jeans for the remainder of the week. (The option to wear blue jeans may depend on your work environment or schedule for the day. Employees should check with their immediate supervisors to determine appropriate dress.)
In conjunction with Thursday's game, the Human Resources MOVE committee will sponsor a Billiken Spirit Contest.
Employees are welcom to dress up and decorate their workspace in SLU blue. Individual and team (up to 10 people) entries will be accepted. Prizes will be awarded for the best entries in the individual and team categories.
To participate in the contest, email a photo or video to email@example.com by 10 a.m. Thursday.
Contest entries should also include:
- Participant name(s)
- Email address(es)
- Telephone number(s)
