The Kern Entrepreneurship Education Network (KEEN), which Saint Louis University is a part of, received a gold award in the Collaborative Networks and Support Category in Living, Working and Learning Environments in the 2012 Edison Awards.

Sridhar Condoor, Ph.D., professor of aerospace and mechanical engineering attended the Edison Award Dinner Thursday, April 26, in New York City, as part of the KEEN team.

The Kern Entrepreneurship Education Network (KEEN) is a collaboration of 20 universities from across the United States that "strive to instill an entrepreneurial mindset in undergraduate engineering students." The Network's mission is to help develop engineers who can contribute to business success and transform the American workforce. Saint Louis University is currently the only university in the state of Missouri to be a part of the Network.

The Edison Awards, named after Thomas Edison, recognize excellence in concept, value, delivery and impact in new products and innovations.
