Graduate Medical Education Announces Poster Competition Winners
Five posters were awarded at the seventh annual Graduate Medical Education Poster Competition.

The seventh annual Graduate Medical Education Poster Competition was held in the Learning Resources Center Tuesday, April 9. The competition was open to all current residents and fellows. Five posters were chosen for awards based on their presentations and research design.
First place was awarded to Courtney Tobin, M.D. (dermatology), who presented "Analysis of Pediatric Atopic Dermatitis: The Relationship Between Disease Progression and Total IgE and Percent Positive Immunocaps."
Second place was awarded to Suwan Mehra, M.D. (maternal fetal medicine), who presented "Who's Coming Back? Factors Influencing Compliance with a Stepwise Sequential Screening Process;" and Yazan Abdalla, M.D. (gastroenterology), who presented "If it Looks and Smells Like Melena, it is Melena! Overuse of Fecal Occult Blood Testing in the Hospital Setting."
Third place was awarded to Anne Neeley, M.D. (dermatology), who presented "Seasonal Variation in the Incidence of Lichen Planus-like Keratosis"; and Philip Sinatra, M.D. (orthopedic surgery), "Contribution Of Tension-Reducing Rotator Cuff Sutures On Plate Fixation Of Proximal Humerus Fractures."
