SLU Named One of Princeton Review's 'Best 379 Colleges'
Saint Louis University has been included on Princeton Review's "379 Best Colleges List" for 2015. SLU also made the list of the best colleges and universities in the Midwest.
Only about 15 percent of America's 2,500 four-year colleges are profiled in The Best 379 Colleges: 2015 Edition, which is Princeton Review's flagship college guide.
In the publication, SLU students note that "the Jesuit tradition really resonates in everything" and "service, social justice and political awareness are stressed at every level of your education."
The University has more than 80 courses that directly integrate service into academic content, and SLU has been named a character-building college by the Templeton Foundation. Outside of the classroom, SLU students, faculty and staff complete more than 1 million service hours per year, leading Washington Monthly to rank Saint Louis University No. 4 on a national list of universities that participate in the most community service.
In addition to making the national and Midwestern lists of best colleges, SLU's entrepreneurship program was ranked No. 23 in the United States. The University has long been a leader in entrepreneurship education. In addition to the Princeton Review, U.S. News & World Report ranks SLU's undergraduate and graduate programs in entrepreneurship in the nation's top 25.
The Princeton Review listing is just the latest honor for Saint Louis University. Last week SLU was included on Forbes "America's Best Colleges" list and highlighted on their "Rising Stars: 10 Top Colleges to Watch," as one of the colleges and universities that have climbed the most since the rankings began in 2009. In addition, SLU has been ranked nationally by U.S. News and the Fiske Guide to Colleges, among others.
