The Center for Sustainability participated in the 25th annual St. Louis Earth Day Festival held April 27 in Forest Park. The festival ranks as the second largest Earth Day celebration in the nation according to the Earth Day Network, an international organization that catalogs and supports community Earth Day events around the world.

A community tradition, the festival brings together people from across the St. Louis region to learn about sustainable products and services offered by local businesses and organizations, enjoy local musical acts and performance art, participate in a number of hands-on educational activities, and explore diverse cuisine featuring local, organic, vegetarian and vegan options.

As a sponsor of the event, the Center for Sustainability had a booth in the heart of the action where faculty and staff promoted the Center's graduate programs in sustainability, urban planning and development and geographic information systems (GIS).
