SLU Men’s Club Soccer Makes University History

For the first time in the history of club soccer, the men’s team won its division championship, which took place Oct. 28-30 in Springfield, Missouri.

In winning the NIRSA Championship Series Region IV North Soccer Tournament, the team bested the University of Missouri-Columbia, Kansas State University, University of Arkansas, University of Kansas, University of Oklahoma, Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and Missouri State.

The team, which is coached and managed by the players, will advance to the NIRSA National Championship, Nov. 17-20, in Foley, Alabama.

Twenty-four teams will compete in the Championship Division of the National Champions.
