Campus Kitchen Seeks Volunteers

The SLU Campus Kitchen is in need of a few last-minute volunteers to for its cooking shift on Wednesday, Aug. 24.

Anyone interested who is available between 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday should email ckslu@campuskitchens.org or call 314-977-3881.

The organization marks its 15th anniversary this year.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to volunteer individually or as a group at any point throughout the year. A variety of cooking and delivery shifts are available each week. No experience is necessary.

SLU Campus Kitchen, the first of its kind in the country, serves more than 2,000 meals each month to low-income families, seniors and people with disabilities who live near campus. Founded at SLU in 2001, there are now more than 50 Campus Kitchens at colleges and universities around the country.
