The Friends of the Saint Louis University Liver Center Host Sixth Annual “Shoot for a Cure”

The Friends of the Saint Louis University Liver Center are hosting their Sixth Annual “Shoot for a Cure” fundraising event, presented by Foam Supplies, Inc., at the beautiful Strathalbyn Farms Club on Saturday, May 3, 2014.

Located on 140 pristine acres in the Weldon Spring area of St. Charles County, Missouri, Strathalbyn Farms Club offers a unique private club environment for this benefit shooting event (membership courtesy of host Todd Keske.)

Event registration begins at 10:30 am with a required safety meeting at 11:45 am, and the shotgun start takes place at 12:00 noon. Cocktails and appetizers will be served beginning at 2:30, with a country-style dinner starting at 4:30 pm.

After the exciting Live Auction following dinner, the day-long event ends with a bonfire and s’mores. Professional representatives from Marco Polo Outfitters, L.C., and Cabela’s will be available during the day to assist team participants with their shooting needs.

Members of the Lindenwood University Shotgun Sports program will serve as volunteers at the “Shoot for a Cure” event.

Proceeds will benefit the Friends of the SLU Liver Center, which supports the research efforts of the world-renowned Saint Louis University Liver Center for the treatment and cure of liver diseases, and promotes understanding and awareness of liver disease. All money raised by the organization stays in the St. Louis area to perform life-saving research and treat patients in St. Louis.
