Teaching: Dr. Stallings teaches in the traditional option. Her primary teaching assignment is public health nursing. Prior teaching experience includes community/public health nursing, pathophysiology, gerontology, and clinical skills.
Practice: Dr. Stallings has practiced nursing for over 15 years. Her experiences include emergency departments, clinical educator for emergency and intensive care departments, and medical-surgical nursing. Dr. Stallings also has several years of travel nursing experience.
Research: Dr. Stallings' research interests include reducing risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, health behaviors, and community-based interventions for American-Americans. She completed her doctoral dissertation in the area of understanding African-American women's perceptions of hypertension and lifestyle behaviors.
