Teaching:  Dr. Moore has been teaching since 1997 in both undergraduate and graduate courses covering topics such as Adult Medical Surgical content, Foundational skills, Cardio-pulmonary content, hematology/oncology, travelers' health, occupational health and orthopedic topics. Over the past thirteen years she has served as a preceptor for multiple nurse practitioner students and on DNP capstone committees.

Practice:  
Dr. Moore practices as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in an occupational health and travelers' health clinic. Her practice environment allows her to see patients with a variety of needs which range from pre-travel wellness consultations, chemical exposures, eye injuries, musculoskeletal injuries, lacerations, as well as OSHA and DOT regulation specific physical examinations. She has also worked as a nurse in oncology, acute medicine, and pediatric and adult hospice.

Certifications and Organizational Involvement:  
Dr. Moore is an ANCC certified Adult Nurse Practitioner, Nationally Registered Certified Medical Examiner, member of several state and national nursing organizations including Sigma Theta Tau, American Nurses Association, National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty, National League of Nursing, and the American Society of Pain Management Nursing. Dr. Moore is an affiliate member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine. Dr. Moore also serves on the board and is very active in a local non-profit organization dedicated to the repair and rehabilitation of housing for low income homeowners within our city known as St. Louis World Changers.

Research:  Dr. Moore's research interests include occupational health topics including the commercial motor vehicle operator population, pain management, evidence based practice and educational interventions.

Scholarly Activities:  Dr. Moore has presented at regional Advanced Practice Nursing Conferences and Workshops, has published on occupational topics and travelers health, and has provided a radio interview regarding travel health readiness. Dr. Moore is a reviewer for peer reviewed nurse practitioner and nursing education journals.
