Teaching: Linda Haycraft has taught in the area of nursing of children since 1983. She is currently one of the course coordinators for Nursing of Children, clinical component. She presents many of the pediatric lectures as well as having clinical groups at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. She is the faculty advisor for the School of Nursing Student Nurses' Association.
Practice: Ms. Haycraft has a broad range of experiences practicing as a pediatric nurse. She was a staff nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit, one of the original members of the neonatal transport team, the assistant head nurse of the NICU, and currently works as a staff nurse in the emergency department at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital (St. Louis, Missouri). She recently developed and was director an Emergency Department Fellowship program. She is an instructor for the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support as well as a Pediatric Advanced Life Support / Pediatric Advanced Cardio-Respiratory, and Trauma Support for Life (PALS/PACTS) instructor.
Professional and Scholarly Activities: Member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) Member of the Saint Louis chapter of NAPNAP Member of Delta Lambda Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International
Research: Although not actively involved in research, Ms. Haycraft is very interested in pain management in the pediatric population.
