To prepare a generalist, internship-eligible graduate who has achieved basic competencies as identified by the Foundation Knowledge Requirements and Expected Learning Outcomes.
|1.1 RD exam pass||A minimum of 90% of program graduates over a 5 year period will pass the Registered Exam for Dietetics on their first attempt.
|1.2 Supervised Practice Application Rate||A minimum of 70% of program graduates over a 5 year period will apply for admission into Dietetic Internships
|1.3 Graduate placement in Advanced Practice Programs||A minimum of 80% success rate over a 5 year period in the placement of first time applicants who apply for admission into a DI program and/or postbaccalaureate program within one year of graduation.
|1.4 Academic and practical preparation||A minimum of 80% of students completing dietetic internships and/or postbaccalaureate programs will indicate that they "strongly agree" or "agree" that their undergraduate education adequately prepared them for their post BS education.
|1.5 Academic and practical preparation||A minimum of 80% of students completing dietetic internships and/or postbaccalaureate programs will indicate that they strongly agree or agree that their undergraduate education made them competitive with colleagues from other programs.
|1.6 *Program Completion Rate||90% of junior and senior level students in the DPD program will complete the program within 150% of the time planned for completion which is three years from the beginning of the junior year of the program.

To prepare a graduate who is knowledgeable about nutritional care in multiple settings and demonstrates specific personal and professional competencies.
|2.1 Multiple setting preparation||Over a 5-year period, graduates will enter into multiple (>3) health-related professions other than dietetics such as Medicine, or Dental school, and a minimum of 90% will be accepted into their health-related program.|
|2.2 Adequate competencies upon entrance of DI||A minimum of 80% of dietetic internship directors will indicate that graduates were more than satisfactorily prepared for success in their dietetic internship program.|

To provide a basis for further development and life-long learning which will assure continued competence.
|3.1 Continuing Education
||A minimum of 85% of graduates will answer that they agree or strongly agree that the DPD program instilled a desire for continued development as a self-learner.|
|3.2 Completion of DIET 102, Career Explorations
||A minimum of 100% of students will complete papers which reflect upon ways they can continue to learn about the various professions within the field of dietetics.|
|3.3 Completion of undergraduate portfolio
||A minimum of 100% of student will complete their professional portfolio cumulating their undergraduate experience|
To prepare a graduate who will contribute to society based on development of a sense of community and social/civic responsibility.
|4.1 # Hours Community Service
||A minimum of 75% of graduating seniors will have participated in a total of at least 20 hours of community service in addition to service learning throughout their DPD program at Saint Louis University.|
|4.2 Community and social/civic responsibility
||A minimum of 85% graduates will indicate that they agree or strongly agree that DPD program supported development of judgments respectful of the inherent dignity and worth of individuals.|
