Saint Louis University Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Overview
Saint Louis University offers three options for DPD completion. You may choose between our traditional DPD, DPD with a special emphasis in culinary arts or a special emphasis in food innovation and entrepreneurship.

Completion of the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) is achieved through completion of requirements to earn a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics at Saint Louis University. Individuals with previously earned undergraduate degrees may complete DPD requirements without earning an additional BS. Students may pursue either full-time or part-time study. The length of the BS program varies among the five proposed curricular concentrations and ranges from 134 -142 semester hours. The curriculum has a strong foundation in basic sciences and students receive a broad and varied exposure in classroom, laboratory and clinical settings in a multidisciplinary environment. The program provides individual attention and close ties with faculty.
