Grants written for SLU Department of Nutrition and Dietetics - Assisted with Gardens to Tables-SLPS grant - May, 2012, Whole Kids Foundation School Garden Grant – received May, 2012, American Academy of Dermatology Shade Structure Grant – received August, 2010, Assisted with HELP-SLPS grant and other grants that provide funds to create local garden markets and nutrition education for children and families of financial need in the St. Louis area, Assisted with Saint Louis University’s grant (START) to assist and manage collection of food scraps and compostable items to an earth tub to prevent waste. Provide nutrition education to a variety of communities such as schools and elderly centers, August 2007-present. Guest lectured for DIET 208: Foundations of Nutrition, December 2011. Organized the events for Food Day 2011 to promote sustainable food systems to the university students in the St. Louis area, October 2011. Created modules and lecture guides for various classes to teach about composting and the importance of sustainable food system, October 2011. Edited Making It Recipe Book, a compilation of recipes from restaurants around the St. Louis, August, 2008. Developed curriculum for a ten-week program that teaches nutrition education, culinary skills, and physical activity to a local middle school, August, 2008. Graded quizzes and assignments for classes in the Nutrition and Dietetics curriculum, August 2007-May 2010.
