Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy
Welcome from the Chair
Welcome to the Department of Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy!
Our department was established in 1992, and we graduated our first class of twenty-nine occupational therapists in 1996. We have quickly grown in number and stature, and in 2010-2011 we were proud to graduate over eighty Baccalaureate and Masters degree students. This growth can be attributed to our remarkable faculty's devotion to helping our students fulfill their career goals.
Our programs promote individualized and small learning group opportunities within the classes. Every student is paired with a faculty mentor and encouraged to seek their guidance throughout the programs. Along with this faculty partnership are opportunities for research projects that facilitate student learning within faculty members' scholarship.
The MOT program is accredited by The Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) and ranks in the top 27% of all occupational therapy graduate schools in US News & World Report, May 2010.
