Recently the Office of Institutional Research (OIR) gave the Fact Book a much needed redesign. OIR surveyed over 200 people, involved other major reporting offices such as the Registrar's office and Student Financial Services, and solicited design feedback from Marketing and Communications. New features include simplified data tables, graphical representations, and a more minimal design scheme. However, the greatest change is the removal of breakout reports for each college. While this information is still available to the internal SLU audience through various means it will no longer be available to the general public.
The University Fact Book is the official source of a wide variety of descriptive and statistical information about the University. The Fact Book is compiled and published annually by the Office of Institutional Research in order to meet internal and external reporting requirements and to provide data and information for planning and decision-making. It is frequently requested by students, faculty, staff, alumni, and others.
