Kappa Deltas work for social change with Invisible Children

Freshmen Zeta Iotas, Maggie Finnegan and Emily Malafa volunteer with the national organization, Invisible Children, which has a large presence on SLU’s campus. Invisible Children is reacting to the inhumane murders and abductions of Ugandan children to fight in the Civil War. The organization believes an international effort to rescue his child soldiers is the most viable way to end the most neglected humanitarian emergency in the world today. A non-profit organization working to transform apathy into activism, this organization documents the lives of those living in regions of conflict and injustice in an effort to educate and inspire individuals in the Western world to use their unique voice for change. The girls pose with St. Louis Rams’ linebacker, Chris Chamberlain, at a local event in downtown St. Louis.
