What is Rush? Rush is a period of time fraternities use to recruit new members for their organization. Rush usually begins in the first or second week of class at Saint Louis University. Rush kicks off with all the fraternities coming together for an information night.

After that, fraternities will post fliers around campus that list the events for rush. Rushees then individually go to the different events throughout the week to find out more about specific fraternities. We encourage you to check out several different fraternities before making your decision because joining a fraternity is a lifelong commitment. Make sure to get know as many active members as you can as well as your fellow rushees. Rush ends after about 10 days with each fraternity handing out bids to potential members.
