The Qualitative Research Committee is a standing committee under the umbrella of the Graduate
School. It is an interdisciplinary committee with members from many departments and schools. Its
general purpose is to promote and encourage the use of qualitative reserch methods in the various
disciplines. The committee sponsors speakers and events which facilitate faculty development in
qualitative research; it serves as a clearing house for the collection and maintenance of resources
relevant to this purpose. The committee also serves to coordinate and facilitate qualitative research
courses at various levels of sophistication.
