A RAINBOW ALLIANCE
LITERARY WORK
Out of the Shadows is a literary work of
the Rainbow Alliance at Saint Louis University. It follows in
the footsteps of a project of the same name at Gonzaga
University.
Out of the Shadows provides GLBT students
and straight allies a way to share their stores with the
university community. In an attempt to educate our peers on
what life is like for us on campus, at home and in the
workplace. This is a way for you to reach out to straight
students on campus who need to be educated as well as the GLBT
students who need to know that they are not alone.
We
ask you to submit short stories, poems, letters – anything you
think would like to share. Rainbow Alliance will collect these
works for our first edition which we will release as part of
the 2007 Day of Silence program at the end of April.
| Who can submit stories: |
Any current student at Saint Louis
University. While many people have stories they want to
share, we want this to be from SLU students to SLU
students |

| Will my name be listed: |
You can submit the work with your

your work when it comes time to format the magazine. As
with all RA communications, we would never break our

Initially it will be part of the Day
of Silence programming but will also be included with
the Safe Zone manuals and available for distribution at
