Weekly Mailer Submission Rules

Appropriate Types of Submissions

  • Events
  • Surveys (From Administrators only; If you have questions about the relevance of your survey, please e-mail sga@slu.edu)

  • Student Organizations
  • Greek Organizations
  • Administrators
  • Staff
  • Faculty

How To Submit An Event

  1. Go to SLU Connection and select “Submit News”. If your event is found to be unique, it will be posted under the “Events” tab on SLU Connection. If you notice any problems with your submission, e-mail Chris Koerner, the Division of Student Development’s Web Project Coordinator, at: koernerc@slu.edu.
  2. If your event does not show up under the events tab on SLU Connection by Saturday, e-mail sga@slu.edu by Sunday at 4 PM for the event to be included in the SGA Weekly Mailer.
  3. If you have something to be included under “Other Announcements” in the SGA Weekly Mailer, send an e-mail to sga@slu.edu with 50 words or less in this format:
A. Subject/Title
B. Informational Blurb
C. Contact Information
D. Deadlines (If Necessary)

NOTE: All prospective entries must be submitted via e-mail to sga@slu.edu by Sunday at 4 PM to be eligible for the outgoing SGA Weekly Mailer.



Final Reminders

  1. Events must be applicable to the Entire University Student Body.
  2. Event information should be in the body of your submission e-mail, as outlined below, not in an e-mail attachment.
  3. Events must be submitted on SLU Connection during the week prior (Monday - Friday at 2 PM) to your event.
  4. If submitting multiple entries per week, please make a new submission for each individual entry.



*All entries are subject to approval by the Student Government Association and are not guaranteed to be placed in the mailer.*
