Community Work

Craig Adams, Ph.D., P.E., F.ASCE joined Saint Louis University as the Oliver L. Parks Chair and Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering in the Fall of 2016. Adams teaches and conducts research in the environmental engineering area of the civil engineering program.  Adams’ research focuses on fundamental and applied aspects of the control of emerging contaminants in drinking water nationally and in developing nations (including pharmaceuticals and personal care products, cyanotoxins, disinfection byproducts, nanoparticles and arsenic). He teaching courses in drinking water quality and treatment, environmental engineering in developing nations, and other aspects of the field. Adams is a registered professional engineer, a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a board certified environmental engineer.
