SLUCare's pediatric emergency medicine physicians are the emergency room doctors at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. Our physicians treat more than 47,000 children in the emergency department annually, including approximately who 400 require admission to Cardinal Glennon's pediatric intensive care unit.
All SLUCare emergency department physicians are certified in pediatric advanced life support and pediatric advanced cardiac and trauma support for life (PACTS). PACTS was developed by SLUCare physician Anthony Scalzo, MD, and is the only certification program like it.
A SLUCare emergency medicine pediatrician is on site at Cardinal Glennon around the clock for emergency care, transfer consults and support for the transport team. In an emergency, your child could not be in better hands.
