Student Organizations

SLATS is the Saint Louis University Athletic Training Society.

Saint Louis University Athletic Training Society members educate, organize, represent and serve as students in the Athletic Training Education Program at Saint Louis University. Members of SLATS work to perform these tasks while acting in accordance with the Jesuit mission of Saint Louis University to be men and women of service to others through community outreach.

SLATS activities include:
  • Missouri Valley Conference Basketball Tournament
  • STL Rock n' Roll Marathon
  • St. Louis Science Center Healthfest
  • Visits to the Cardinals' Busch Stadium and Rams' ContinuityX Training Center
  • NATA Convention
  • Nike Elite 100 Camp
  • March Madness in Doisy College
  • Freshmen Mentoring Program
  • Service Outreaches (i.e. SLU Make A Difference Day, Christmas Toy Drive, etc.)
  • Scholarship Opportunities
Chapter Officers include members from both years of the professional phase of the program as well as undergraduate representatives from the Athletic Training Program.

Iota Tau Alpha

Saint Louis University's Athletic Training Program is home to the Alpha Iota chapter of Iota Tau Alpha, the honor society. Chartered in the spring of 2009, high-achieving Athletic Training students become members of Iota Tau Alpha, which provides valuable opportunities for service to the University and the St. Louis community at large, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.

ITA activities include:
  • Tutoring and study sessions for Athletic Training students
  • Sponsoring guest speakers at SLU
  • Promoting healthy living
  • Research projects and presentations at athletic training conferences

Chapter officers include members of both years of the professional phases of the program.
