The freshman entry five-year Master of Athletic Training Program at Saint Louis University is divided into two phases. The pre-professional phase of the program starts with the freshman year and extends through the spring semester of the junior year. The professional phase of the program begins the summer following the junior year and extends for two years. Students can also enter the two year program as a post baccalaureate.

Graduation Rate
For the Athletic Training Program, the graduation rate is defined as the percentage of students who began the professional phase of the program and graduated within 150 percent of normal curricular time (two years). Cohorts are identified by year of MAT graduation.

In order to obtain a certification in athletic training, a person must be a graduate of an athletic training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education and must also pass the Board of Certification Examination.
