Program in Physical Therapy
The Saint Louis University Program in Physical Therapy is a freshman entry program with students completing a 6-year program combining a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and the Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees. Typically, a group of 90-100 students are admitted to the freshman year and, on average, 80-85 of those students successfully move into the professional phase of the program. The attrition is a result of students changing majors, leaving the university, or not meeting academic and/or professional behavior requirements.
Based on this curricular model, transfer admission to the Program in Physical Therapy is highly unlikely, both in the pre professional phase and in the professional phase. In the unlikely event that space is available for transfer students, admission is highly competitive.
If you are a student with a baccalaureate degree and seeking admission to the SLU Program in Physical Therapy, you must complete an application through the Physical Therapy Centralized Application Service. However, we are not accepting applications for the classes entering the professional program May 2015 through May 2017. This is evaluated on an annual basis. A decision about acceptance of applications for May 2018 and beyond will be made at a future date.
For current Saint Louis University students without a baccalaureate degree and interested in transfer admission to the Program in Physical Therapy, you can make an inquiry by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
At the present time, students enrolled at a college other than Saint Louis University and without a degree will not be considered for transfer admission to the Program in Physical Therapy.
