Deadline: Dec. 1 of your high school senior year

To be considered for the Medical Scholars program, you must:

  • Submit an online application for admission to Saint Louis University
  • Have a composite ACT score of 30 or higher, or an SAT total of 1330 (math + verbal) or higher *
  • Complete the separate online Medical Scholars Program application, including a short essay discussing why you are interested in becoming a physician, a resume listing medically related and non-medically related volunteer activities and all other activities or leadership positions and two letters of recommendation

* If you do not have the requisite ACT or SAT score by Dec. 1 but plan to re-take the exam, you should still apply to the Medical Scholars program by the Dec. 1 deadline; your application will be considered once we receive the latest exam score. (To be considered for the Medical Scholars program, the latest date to take the ACT or SAT is in December.)

Visit the Undergraduate Admission homepage to apply to the Medical Scholar Program. This application is separate from the general admissions application to SLU. Only complete applications meeting the admission criteria (including essay, letters of recommendation, resume and ACT score of 30 or SAT score of 1330 in math + verbal) will be considered. 

Admission decisions for the Medical Scholar Program will be mailed to all applicants in March of their senior year of high school.
