Pre-Professional Health Studies
The Pre-Professional Health Studies (PPHS) office at Saint Louis University (SLU) advises undergraduate students who plan to continue on to schools of medicine, dentistry, optometry, podiatry, and veterinary medicine. Students can choose any major offered at SLU and participate in the pre-professional health studies program. Health professional schools are highly interested in students who are high achieving academically and well-rounded in their co-curricular involvement. Thus, pre-health advisors assist and support students in establishing and preparing the most competitive application for admission as is possible by each individual student. Students are always encouraged to submit applications for admission when their applications are the strongest.
Services offered through the Pre-Professional Health Studies office are available to all students including students participating in SLU's Medical Scholars program, traditional-track students (Non-Medical Scholar students), and transfer students.
Pre- Health Listserv-This listserv helps keep pre-health students informed about upcoming pre-health events, presentations, volunteer and research opportunities, admission exam information (MCAT, DAT, OAT, GRE), Committee information, pre-health courses, internships, office newsletters, etc...
