BIDISHA CHAKRABARTY, PH.D. (Finance) wrote a paper titled "Quote Intensity and Market Quality: The effect of SEC's Market Access Ban" that has been selected for presentation at the Financial Intermediation Research Society (FIRS) and the Western Finance Association Conference (WFA). This is joint work with Pankaj Jain at the SEC and Canadian researchers Andriy Shkilko and Konstantin Sokolov.
An amicus brief co-authored by ANASTASIOS KABURAKIS, PH.D. (Management) has been included by the U.S. Supreme Court on the docket in Chris Christie, Governor of New Jersey, et al. v. National Collegiate Athletic Association, et al.
BRUCE KRAEMER, M.D. (Plastic Surgery) presented grand rounds at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Walter Reed Army Medical Center about using extracellular matrix products in wound healing.
KARA MCBRIDE, PH.D. (Spanish) gave the invited talk "Not All ESL Accents Are Equal: Prestige Models, Familiarity, Gender and Discourse Markers" to the language department at the National University of Cordoba in Cordoba, Argentina. She conducted the professional development workshop "Second Language Acquisition Theories and Learner Strategies" for area English as a foreign language teachers in Linares, Chile, on April 16, and a professional development workshop "Second Language Acquisition Theories" for the foreign language instructors at the University of Talca in Talca, Chile, on April 10.
