ANTHONY BREITBACH, PH.D. (Athletic Training) was named to the Advisory Board of the Athletic Training Centralized Application Service (ATCAS) by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

ARLINE CRAVENS, PH.D. (French) presented two papers at the MLA Conference in Chicago Jan. 9-12. "Women and Work in George Sand's Claudie" and "Writing the Feminine Ideal in George Sand's Laura ou le voyage dans le cristal."

ETHEL FRESE, DPT (Physical Therapy) was appointed by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties to the Specialty Council on Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy for a 4-year term beginning Jan. 1.

KIM LEVENHAGEN, DPT (Physical Therapy) published the article, "Breast Cancer EDGE Task Force Outcomes Quality of Life and Functional Outcome Measures for Secondary Lymphedema in Breast Cancer Survivors" in Rehab Oncology.

KATHLEEN LLEWELLYN, PH.D. (French) was awarded the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award for 2013. The Emerson Excellence in Teaching Awards program, sponsored by Emerson, a diversified global manufacturing and technology company, recognizes educators in the St. Louis metropolitan area who are examples of excellence in their field.

KITTY NEWSHAM, PH.D. (Athletic Training) published the article, "Exercise-Induced Anaphylaxis: A Food-Dependent Variant" in the International Journal of Athletic Therapy and Training.

GRETCHEN SALSICH, PH.D. (Physical Therapy) was funded $49,952.00 by BJHF/ICTS Clinical and Translational Science Research for her one-year pilot project, "Task-specific movement pattern training for treatment of patellofemoral pain."

IRMA RUEBLING (Interprofessional Education), DAVID POLE (Interprofessional Education), ANTHONY BREITBACH, PH.D. (Athletic Training), ALFRED FRAGER (Psychology), GINGE KETTENBACH, DPT (Physical Therapy), NINA WESTHUS (Nursing), KATHLEEN KIENSTRA (Radiation Therapy) and JUDY CARLSON (Nursing) published the article, "A Comparison of Student Attitudes and Perceptions Before and After an Introductory Interprofessional Education Experience" in the Journal of Interprofessional Care.
