Offered at the John Cook School of Business, Saint Louis University's accounting program offers students a strong foundation in both technical and professional accounting, including communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.

Accounting degree

Each year, SLU's John Cook School of Business hosts a "Meet the Firms Night," giving accounting students the opportunity to network with potential employers.

Major in Accounting

Saint Louis University accounting students ranked 28th in the nation for 2014 CPA pass rates for first-time candidates, and SLU’s accounting department is AACSB accredited, an accreditation only shared with 185 schools worldwide.

Along with a traditional undergraduate accounting major, SLU also offers an integrated undergraduate and graduate accounting program. Through it, you can receive both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting and a Master of Accounting degree.

SLU’s accounting concentration requires 18 credit hours of accounting coursework in addition to “ACCT 2200: Financial Accounting” and “ACCT 2220: Managerial Accounting.” Students are then required to select an accounting elective and complete 12 more credit hours of upper-level coursework.
