Finance

Saint Louis University’s undergraduate concentration in finance offers you professional finance knowledge and will develop the strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and electronic spreadsheet skills you need to succeed in today's business environment.

Major in Finance

If you choose to major in finance at SLU, you’ll examine the way businesses raise and invest capital and the way individuals allocate savings. You will also learn about investment alternatives and how markets work to equate the demand for capital by firms and the supply of capital by investors.

The John Cook School of Business offers undergraduate students the chance to study to be a certified financial analyst (CFA). This track consists of a set of six finance and two accounting courses, along with two electives.

You will also choose from electives including insurance, real estate, international financial management, applied portfolio management, financial markets and institutions, financial analysis and financial modeling.

The John Cook School of Business also offers resources for students outside the classroom, including a chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, a national finance and accounting fraternity.
