Project SLU2000 Faculty Development and Course Assessment

Project SLU2000 is a $100 million initiative focusing on continued academic excellence and an enhanced campus environment and infrastructure. Project SLU2000 builds the foundation for continued momentum as reflected in heightened academic credentials of entering freshmen, sustained improvements in student retention, increased success in research and enhanced campus environment and infrastructure.

Saint Louis University lives out its Catholic, Jesuit mission, heritage and values in its teaching, research and service. Drawing upon a 450-year tradition of Jesuit education and over 180 years of experience as an institution of higher education, Saint Louis University remains dedicated to high-quality, mission-driven education in its undergraduate, graduate and professional programs. One of only three Catholic universities to be recognized by the Carnegie Foundation as a research university, Saint Louis University contributes to human knowledge and understanding.

In addition to bringing new faculty into our undergraduate programs, creating new freshman inquiry seminars, and providing additional scholarship funds, the Academic Initiatives of Project SLU2000 will support our Centers of Excellence, increase faculty salaries to a competitive level, establish designated research funds, and provide new research leaves in addition to the current sabbatical program.
