Saint Louis University debuted Midtown's newest landmark on June 24 as the switch was flipped for the first time for the new neon sign atop Griesedieck hall. Each letter spelling out Saint Louis University is 6 feet tall, and the length of the sign is 88 feet. The neon letters shine SLU-blue every night and can be seen for miles from both Interstate 64 and Highway 44. Pictured at left is Ed Lisson, SJ, associate professor of theological studies, who via radio gave the signal to turn on the lights following a brief dedication ceremony and prayer service.
