NEW FACES IN NEW PLACES: Head men's soccer coach Bob Warming has begun his first season as the Billikens' mentor. In 20 years, Warming has compiled a 206-118-27 (.625) record. He coached at Old Dominion last year, but made his reputation at Creighton, where he took a dormant program and built the Bluejays into a national power in four seasons. Dan Donigan also has joined the staff as assistant coach. He was the assistant at UConn for the past three years. THE 700 CLUB: Head volleyball coach Marilyn Nolen enters her 26th season as a collegiate head coach and is nine wins shy of No. 700. Nolen's overall coaching mark is 691-260-12. Only eight coaches in women's collegiate volleyball have ever recorded 700 wins. Nolen is ranked ninth by the American Volleyball Coaches' Association in all-time wins. NCAA HOPES: Narrowly missing the NCAA Tournament field the past two seasons, the Billiken volleyball team is geared up to make this year's field. The NCAA has increased the number of entrants to the tournament from 48 to 56.
