Nominations Being Accepted for Mary Bruemmer Award

Nominations now are being accepted for the annual Mary A. Bruemmer Award.

The award has been presented each year since 1980 by the Student Government Association. Eligibility requirements for the award are the following:

  • The nominee must be a staff person who has been associated with the University for a minimum of two years.

  • The nominee must demonstrate concern about the "quality of student life."

  • The nominee must have made an outstanding contribution to student life outside the classroom during his or her career at Saint Louis University.

The award is named for Mary Bruemmer, who served as the dean of women from 1967 to 1976, then as dean of student affairs from 1976 to 1985. She still is at the University as a full-time volunteer.

Nominations should be submitted to the Student Government Association office in the lower level of Busch Memorial Center in Lindsley Croley's mailbox. Additional applications are available outside the SGA office.

The deadline for submission is March 17.
