SLUCARE BUILDING OPENING
|
On Dec. 12 residents of Ste. Genevieve toured the newly constructed medical building for the Ste. Genevieve Medical Group and SLUCare. The new 8,000-square-foot medical building offers an improved facility for primary care providers, as well as specialists in rheumatology, dermatology, pulmonology and gastroenterology. The Ste. Genevieve Medical Group's office building is located at 753 Pointe Basse Drive. The open house gave residents a chance to meet the physicians and staff and tour the facility. Kevin O'Rourke, OP, director of the Center for Health Care Ethics, led the blessing of the building.
"With this practice and its new location, we are stating our commitment to Ste. Genevieve," said Coy D. Fitch, M.D., Drefs Professor and chairman of the department of internal medicine.
Fitch has overseen the development of the building for the medical group and SLUCare during the past year. "It is the commitment of Saint Louis University as well to provide the highest quality services as close to home as possible. We recognize that Ste. Genevieve already has good quality services available, and these SLUCare providers will be able to further augment that and bring additional quality specialty services that Ste. Genevieve hasn't had before," he said.
The building was designed by Christner Inc. Architecture in St. Louis. The Brockmiller Construction Co. of Farmington, Mo., built the center.
