J.W.Kisling has accepted a position as the first distinguished lecturer in entrepreneurship at the School of Business and Administration. In this role, Kisling will teach, conduct seminars, counsel students, conduct research, write and serve the school in a variety of other ways.

The purpose of this position is to provide an avenue whereby students and faculty at the business school can benefit from the knowledge and expertise of individuals who have attained notable success in their business careers and who are deeply committed to excellence in university-level education.

Kisling is the chairman of Multiplex Co. Inc., headquartered in St. Louis, a leader in the beverage dispensing industry since 1906. Multiplex specializes in the manufacture and distribution of fountain, beer and water dispensing equipment and conducts business in more than 100 countries worldwide.

The position of distinguished lecturer in entrepreneurship will be coordinated with the Jefferson Smurfit Center for Entrepreneurial Studies (JSCES). In 1996, 1997 and 1998 Success ranked the JSCES as having one of the top 10 graduate programs in entrepreneurship and as the best graduate faculty. It was included in 1998's Top 25 list of entrepreneurial programs by U.S. News & World Report.

Previously, the U.S. Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship awarded the JSCES its "1994 Model Entrepreneurship Center for the Year."
