Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit honor society, will initiate 102 new members on Sunday, Feb. 28. The initiation will take place at a noon Mass at St. Francis Xavier College Church, followed by a reception in the Loyola Ballroom.

In addition to 97 student members, the honor society will initiate its faculty adviser, Michael Maher, SJ, and four honorary members: Thomas M. Gunn, Kathleen T. Gunn, Dr. William J. Monahan and Dr. Neil Seitz.

Thomas Gunn is a member of the University's board of trustees and has served in many capacities as an alumnus of both the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Law. Formerly with McDonnell Douglas, he has played an important role in the development of the international business program at the School of Business and Administration. His wife, Kathleen Toohey Gunn, is president of the Women's Council at Saint Louis University.

Monahan is an associate professor of sociology and criminal justice. He was a charter member of the University's pro-life group, Faculty and Staff for Life, and serves as faculty adviser for Students for Life. He is on the board of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and is involved in the group's social justice ministry.

Seitz has served as dean of the School of Business and Administration since 1993. He has been responsible for advancing the academic programs at the school and is spearheading the expansion of Davis-Shaughnessy Hall to provide additional space for the MBA program and other programs at the school.

Alpha Sigma Nu honors students at Jesuit colleges and universities for their scholarship, loyalty and service.
