Executives, Companies Honored by Institute

Saint Louis University's Boeing Institute of International Business has hailed leaders in the field for the past five years. The recipients are as follows:

• DuPont Co./Protein Technologies International received the Corporate Partnership Award, which is presented for exemplary partnership in pursuing institute objectives.

• Thomas M. Gunn, retired senior vice president of business development for the Boeing Co., received the International Visionary Award, which recognizes an individual with a tremendous impact on the international business marketplace.

• Hendrik A. Verfaillie, president of the Monsanto Co., received the Globalist Award, presented for international accomplishment and success.

• Donald L. Vondriska Jr., general manager of Omnus Inc., received the Outstanding Alumni Award,

The efforts of some top University students were rewarded through scholarships given during the awards ceremony. The scholarships were presented to outstanding students who have displayed future potential for international business management. Jugroop Kullar, of Vancouver, British Columbia, received a Mallinckrodt Scholarship. Janet Monroe of Belleville, Ill., received a Solutia Scholarship. Jeffrey O'Hearn, of Moline, Ill., received the Anheuser-Busch Scholarship. Susan Peters, of south St. Louis, received a Monsanto Global Business Scholarship. Charles Ross, of Ballwin, Mo., received a Solutia Scholarship. Carla Steger, of Creve Coeur, Mo., received a Mallinckrodt Scholarship. Jason Tower, of south St. Louis, received the Bud Berman and Kellwood Co. Scholarship. Kathryn Zweig, of Germantown, Ind., received a Monsanto Global Business Scholarship.
